What documents do buyers need for their mortgage
application...
The list below are documents that many mortgage companies
will want you to present...remember...each company and state has
their own criteria for giving a mortgage but if you can compile
all of these documents listed below...you should be able to
satisfy most of the companies document requirements...
- W-2 (past 2 years) & current month's pay
statements...sometimes up to past 6 months...
- Last 12 month's mortgage history (cancelled checks) or
last 12 month's rental history (cancelled checks and/or rent
receipts)...
- Employment address (es) (2 year history)...
- Contract of sale and legal description...
- Latest 3 month's bank statements (all accounts)...
- Open loans - addresses, account #'s, balance and monthly
payments...
- Real estate owned - lenders address (es), balance and
monthly payments...
- Self-employed or more than 25% of income from bonus or
overtime - last 2 years tax returns with all schedules...
- Social security numbers and cards...
- Check for credit report and appraisal...
- FHA and VA copy of driver's license or other state and
employment ID...
- VA certificate of eligibility or DD214...
